Service Protocols

First Baptist Church of Strongsville is currently working on providing a live stream option of our morning worship service for those with health vulnerabilities or who find themselves quarantined. This service will be able to be viewed at 10:45 on our YouTube channel, our FaceBook page, or at Resources page video sermons.

Beginning June 7, 2020 we will reinstate one morning service in the building. The 10:45 service will have singing at the beginning of service and end. We can and will adapt and change based on guidelines provided to us.

There will be no Sunday school or nursery programs. These additional ministries will be phased in as soon as we receive the appropriate recommendations.

Families with small children who choose to attend a live service have the options of sitting together in the same auditorium row or staying in the nursery. Families will be responsible for their own children. The congregation will need to adjust to having young children in the worship service.

Safety Precautions

We will eliminate all unnecessary physical contact, such as no hymnals, pew Bibles, offering plates or greeting time and will prop open doors if possible. An offering plate has been placed in the hallway on a table, right outside of the sanctuary.

Pews have been taped off to create appropriate social distancing between rows and groupings.

Initially, we plan to take the temperature of attendees as they enter the building using no-touch scanners administered by protected volunteers. Anyone with a temperature registering over 99.5 will be denied entry. Those with a temperature between 98.7 and 99.5 will be issued a face covering. An individual may take his/her temperature at home and bring a date-stamped photo of the result.

NEW as of July 8th 6PM
Face-coverings will be mandatory for all attendees and masks will be available upon request as supplies allow.

A hand sanitizing stations will be situated at main entry/exit doors, as well as near nursery and toddler classrooms.

Attendees many bring their own coffee or water.

Fellowship time should take place in the lobby or outside with everyone observing social distancing.

Sanitation Procedures

Sanctuary seating and compromised surfaces will be disinfected after service.

Attendees are being asked to sanitize all surfaces that they use in the restrooms using Clorox or Lysol wipes. These wipes should not be flushed, but placed in the trash can.

Parents may use the changing table and the limited number of toys in the nurseries, but should sanitize these items after use.
